New Lines Under Survey Department/Division Info » Construction » New Lines Under Survey   To meet the challenges posed by the ever increasing traffic, SER has been conducting surveys for various new lines. Jeypore-Kottameta new BG rail link 128 Orissa Puri-Konark new BG rail link 30 Orissa Phulbani-Berhampur new BG line 175 Orissa Talcher/Hindol Road -Gopalpur/Berhampur new BG rail link 245 Orissa Talcher-Bimlagarh new BG rail link 130 Orissa Bargarh-Nawapara Road new BG link via Padampur 120 Orissa Jeypore-Nawarangpur new BG line 45 Orissa Jhargam-Purulia new BG rail link 130 West Bengal Bihar Lohardaga-Korba new BG line 290 Bihar M.P. Gevra Road-Pendra Road new BG line 105 M.P. Barwadih-Chirimiri new BG line 202 M.P. Bilaspur-Jabalpur new BG line 372 M.P. Ramtek-Gotegaon new BG line 240 Maharashtra Wadsa-Gadchiroli new BG line 75 Maharashtra Katangi-Tirodi new BG line 20 Maharashtra TOTAL 2347       Thus 16 new line proposals are being surveyed by SER for addition of 2347 kilometers to the SER system. It is felt that with the execution of these sanctioned lines, double lines, triple lines and guage conversions, and viable new proposals, the South Eastern Railway will be able to play its role still more efficiently as the life line of the minerally rich and industrially developing region of India.
