1. Where can I book the commodities within the ECoR jurisdiction? 
You can book your commodities at any station (Goods Shed) and sidings opened for goods transactions over E.Co. Rly. 

2. Whom should I contact to book commodities?
You can contact Station Managers/Goods Supervisors of the station/siding while booking your commodities in railways. 

3. What all commodities can be booked in Railways?
All commodities like food-grains, fertilizers, Cement, Salt, run-of mines, Ores, Petrochemicals, Iron & Steel etc. except
(i) Over divisional commodities beyond specified limits and
(ii) Commodities otherwise prohibited for transportation by Central/State Govt. can be booked in Railways. 

4. How are the commodities classified for determination of tariff?
For determination of tariff, commodities are classified under 18(Eighteen) different main heads. IRCA Goods Tariff No.44, Part-I, Vol.-II may be referred for the purpose. 

5. What are the different types of wagons offered in ECoR for carrying commodities?

6. What is the permissible limit of loading in wagon?
The permissible limit of loading in wagon is dependent on type of wagons & commodities loaded on them. The details are furnished here under.

N.B: 1) When over loading exceeds the tolerance shown above, punitive charge @ 2 times the freight rates applicable to that commodity if the aggregate payload in a rake does not exceed the combined permissible CC of the rake and @3 times the freight rates applicable to the highest class if the aggregate payload in a rake exceeds the combined permissible CC of the rake is leviable for entire overweight beyond permissible CC. 

2) For bagged consignment :- Upto 1 ton tolerance permitted beyond the permissible CC and punitive charges are leviable at the rates mentioned above in para 1 of N.B. 

7. How can I place an indent for booking of commodities?
You can place indent for wagons at the Station Manager’s /Goods Supervisor’s office of the station where the commodities are to be booked by depositing referable wagon registration fees @ Rs.500/- per wagon subject to a maximum of Rs.15,000/- per rake. 

8. How can I know the status of wagons/rakes once booked?
The status of booked/indented wagons/rakes can be known from the Station Manager/Goods Supervisor of the booking station through the computerized terminal handling Rake Management System (RMS) under Freight Operating Information System (FOIS).

9. How will I get delivery of the consignment at the destination station/siding?
Delivery of the consignments at the destination stations/siding can be availed or surrender of Railway Receipts and by paying Railway dues, if any. 

10. Whom should I contact to get more information on goods transportation?
The persons to be contacted to get more information on goods information are :
i) Station Manager/Goods Supervisor of station.
ii) Sr.Divisional Commercial Manager of Division concerned. 
iii) Chief Commercial Manager at Head Quarters/Bhubaneswar.
