| The Stores Organization of E. Co. Railway functions at Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar under the administrative control of Controller of Stores who is responsible for the over all materials management, inventory control, scrap disposal and vendor development after trifurcation of S. E. Rly. w.e.f. 01.04.03.
The procurement of Stores consist of requirements of all the 3 divisions, Carriage & Wagon, Workshop at Mancheswar, Diesel Loco Shed and Electric Loco Shed at Visakhapatnam, the construction organization under Chief Administrative Officer of Chandrasekharpur and the various maintenance and tools and plants requirements of various offices of E. Co. Railway.
ü The total budgetary grant of E. Co. Railway is of Rs.110 Crores which excludes the items procured from central agencies like Rly. Board, DLW, DCW, ICF. Out of which Rs. 50 Crores are for procurement of stock items, Rs. 50 Crores for the Construction Organization and Rs. 10 Crores for non stock items for maintenance and other TMP items
There are about 1060 Diesel Components, 920 Electrical Components and 700 for Carriage & Wagon Components apart from general items.
